1. Please describe a most impressive memory in your childhood.

Sample answers:

ⅠI have a really tough time remembering most events of my childhood, but there is something in my memory.

When I was about five years old, my parents didn’t have time to look after me, so I was sent to the countryside to live with my grandparents. The air was fresh in the village, and the natural beauty was beyond my imagination. I always went to the riverside with other children. We went swimming in the river in the summer. The water was so cool, and we also went fishing. Sometimes we played with water the whole day and we couldn’t catch anything, but we still enjoyed the process. After we caught some fish in the river, we took the fish home and asked our grandparents to cook them. I like the local people because they were very friendly and simple. The children shared the toys they made with me and I shared my toys with them.

Maybe that period of time was the most impressive for me.

Ⅱ I can still remember lots of things I did in my childhood and things that happened when I was a child. Sometimes those memories seem so lucid that it seems those events occurred only a few days back.

Anyway, a childhood memory I can still remember so clearly is the first time when I saw a massive death. I was a kid in class three or four then and one day I heard that there had been an accident near our home. My mother asked me whether I wanted to go or not. I went with her and speculated lots of things about the accident but when I watched 10 dead people were kept lying on the ground and among them there were 2 kids too, I was devastated about the massive dead scene. I started feeling sick and started vomiting there. My mother took me back home and I was ill for about two days.

This memory was important to me because it helped me to think about life in a different way. I could realize then what the dead are and how fragile our lives are. This memory helped me to grow faster and opened my eyes of vision.

2 Why is childhood such an important stage in one’s life?

Childhood is the time when we should learn values,language,cultural norms and traditions.We learn how to interact with people;we learn right from wrong;we learn how to live in society without being considered a pariah.We also learn the consequences of acting outside social mores.We learn that life is not fair;we dont always get what we want.We learn about controlling our desires and passions...It is much easier to learn these things as children than as adults.

Think about it:it is when you learn a lot about life.You learn how to deal with friends and relationships;you learn many basic skills in school;you set patterns of habits for your lifestyle;you understand much of the world around you. Childhood is a time of learning when responsibility becomes important and your personality and attitude are set. Then you change from childhood curiosity to self-awareness and capability of adulthood. Undoubtedly, childhood is an important stage in life. It is a stage that needs a lot of guidance and care especially from the parents and caregivers. It is a moulding stage for growing children. We can build up our characteristics and maybe personal values and begin to obtain the ability to recognize our surroundings thus to establish our own capability of judgment, which certainly lays a foundation to our further development. It’s said that although we have a choice in becoming the people we strive to be, it is without a doubt that our childhoods shape us to a certain extent. How we choose to react to different situations and the way we express ourselves our behavioral patterns that are formed starting at a young age.

Taking my childhood as an example, I still remember...

3 Please describe your experience of telling a lie or being cheated.

I have the experience of almost getting cheated. One day, when I was at home, I got a call, at first, i did not know who called me, the person said he was my teacher, he called my name and told his name to me. I could recognize my teacher’s voice, the person in the phone was my teacher’s voice, so I let down my guard, and talked happily. At last, my teacher asked me to send some money to his credit card, because he hadn’t carried cash. At the moment, I felt so curious, my teacher would never did such thing, he was a good teacher, so I called my teacher with his another number, until then I realized that I almost got cheated, my teacher was at home at the moment.

The experience of being cheated teaches me a lesson. I will be very careful when it comes to money.

Today, as the media develops so fast, people can have access to all kinds of messages, they can get messages through the phone, commercial ads, the Internet and so on, but the developed media also provide some bad guys with ways to cheat people’s money. People must keep an eye on the information, so they won’t be cheated.

工作类:

1 When you choose a job, what factors would you consider?

One can either choose a job with more vacation time and a low salary or a job with less vacation time yet a high salary; it all depends on ones preference and requirement. For most people, salary is more important. Sometimes we will sacrifice our interest for the sake of high income. Young people are different. They seek to do the work that they are really interested in. However, my first concern is professional development in the job. I want to improve my personal skills when doing the job.

Besides, I want to be close to my living place. It’s going to be better if I spend little time traveling. Welfare is also what I care about. I think the company should provide me with medical care and insurance. Also, I care about whether I am happy or not. My boss and colleagues are important.

生活情感类:

1.How to specifically stand up to challenges

I think the first thing we need to do is to remain calm when were facing serious troubles and problems in life. You have to calm down. You cant solve problems when youre panicking.Take a deep breath, relax, and slow it down.Motivate yourself. Say YES, I CAN.

The challenge can bring out the best of you in this situation. If you develop that mindset, youll finally make it.Stay positive and confident. Think the best, not the worst.Learn what made you fail at overcoming these challenges.Simplify the challenge youre facing.Make the challenge easier than it is. As you get through each step,You develop more confidence and you believe you can get it done.Find out all the ways you can use it to overcome it,

and put them to full use with all your effort.

2.Why do people have fear for challenges or withdraw from challenges?

Some people will avoid any challenges, because they are scared of failing. They are becoming lazier and lazier. They do not want to do anything voluntarily. Maybe its very difficult for them to challenge themselves. They allow themselves to hide behind excuses. Thus, we should re-imagine those excuses, changing them into reasons for moving forward.

However, from my point of view, we can let failure and fear fuel ourselves in a positive way. We should bear in mind that everyone fails at times and weve done many good things. Challenge ourselves to push our abilities beyond their previous limits. If you fail the first, second, or third time, dont give up.

Theres nothing more enriching than a meaningful challenge and a commitment to work through it. Give that special richness to yourself. Dont assume that the best of life is behind you. Challenge yourself to look forward to the highest expectations ever.

As someone puts it, challenge yourself to exceed yourself, to be better than youve ever been. Youll quickly thank yourself for having the courage to do something about it.

3. How to accurately and effectively express our emotions

(What should we do to deal with negative feeling)

People who don’t know how to effectively express their emotions wind up repressing their emotions instead. For people who have endured painful life situations, they can wind up engaging in unhealthy behaviors to avoid expressing their emotions, such as performing self-injuries or developing eating disorders. Expressing emotions is the best way to release pent up feelings.

To express emotions accurately and effectively, we should recognize the importance of expressing emotions first. Unexpressed emotions affect your life. For example, many people who struggle with ongoing depression or anxiety are often actually angry. Because since the unexpressed anger has nowhere to go, the person experiences the emotion as depression or anxiety as a result.

Second, resolve to express your emotions as you have them. Emotions must be expressed. You can either express them as you have them or you can put a lot of energy into repressing them and just wind up having to deal with a more powerful version of your emotions later. Decide that you are going to express your emotions as you experience them.

Third, recognize that emotions are transient. If you express your emotions as you have, they will not last. While you might feel incredibly angry at one moment, your anger will pass as long as you express it. We can also express our anger physically. Anger can be a daunting emotion for many people to

express. Anger is best expressed physically, especially if you have a lot of pressure.

Fourth, Laugh without reservation. A good laugh can be incredibly healing. Do not stifle your joy. Instead, express your joy by giving in to an urge to laugh. A good belly laugh can do wonders for a persons emotional state.

Personally speaking, when I have negative feelings I relieve my pressure by talking to my friends.

We talk about our pressure or working conditions, and then my friends will give me some advice, which is a real relief for me.

4 Would you describe yourself as an optimist or a pessimist? Why?

Im an optimist through and through. As I see it, optimism isnt believing everything is great, its believing that there will always be a reason to be happy. People wonder why Im so happy all the time.

and take things in stride. I dont just think everything is awesome. I have bad days like everyone else. However, I always believe there will be a reason to be positive whether Ive discovered it yet or not.

No matter how badly things go, I always seek the glimmer of hope that will reveal the way I can make things go right again.I am always grateful for what I have and counter every negative with positive.I have always infected my friends with my optimistic attitude and use “Smile and the world smiles with you, weep and you weep alone” as my motto.To my way of thinking, an optimist will consider a problem and look for ways to correct it facing the difficulties, whereas the pessimist will expend energy on worry rather than tackle the problem.For me, I am an optimist but I am not over optimist.Actually, most people are a mix of optimism and pessimism, but I always believe that optimism is important in all aspects of our lives.If we can change our mind from pessimism to optimism, we can change our life.
